How Do Super Bowl Squares Work?

The NFC & AFC team names go on the top and side of a 100 square grid.
Everyone picks one or more squares.
Once all squares are claimed, random numbers 0-9 get put in the rows and columns.
Award winners based on the last digits of each team's score at the end of each quarter.

How to pay for squares?

It is up to each pool admin if they want to play for fun or for money. We don't handle payment for squares, only online tools to manage your board.

Is it free to run squares online?

Yes! For up to 4 people you can run a free Super Bowl Squares board online. If you get more than 4, there is a $5 fee for your board.

When are numbers randomized?

Once all 100 squares are claimed, random numbers are automatically generated and listed on your squares leaderboard in the rows and columns.

What about AFC & NFC Championship games?

You can run a squares board for the AFC and NFC Championship games the same way you would for the Super Bowl.

Can you limit the number of squares per person?

Yes! When creating your squares you can choose to limit each person to only 1 square.

What are the rules?

Winning squares are awarded based on the last digit of each team's score at the end of the 1st/2nd/3rd and Final Game score. The pool admin dictates what is in play for your pool. See Full Rules

What are the best numbers for football squares?

The best numbers to have are 7 and 0, which accounted for 14.3% of the winning squares in 2024 NFL games. 3, 4, and 6 are also very likely. See Full Analysis

What are the worst numbers for football squares?

Hope that you don't get stuck with 5, 8, or 9. They were the least likely to win in 2024 NFL games.
